Renowned Mexico-born artist Margarita Cabrera, the ASU Art Museum, and the Desert Botanical Garden are teaming up to give us “Space in Between” — an event that’s part exhibition and part workshop where participants create desert plant sculptures out of old Border Patrol uniforms and add embroidered details from personal immigration stories.

The East Valley sports and recreation store hosts two weekly group bike rides for cyclists of all skill levels: one at sunrise and one at sunset. The Thursday night ride covers the Tribe Loop, a 10-mile circular of roadways, including some smaller hills for a dynamic experience. Bikers tend to do two to three loops apiece, depending on ability and stamina.

The candy factory will offer tours all weekend, so visitors can get a behind-the-scenes look at how the chocolatiers create everyone’s favorite candy.

Sparked with the spirit of the big game, The Brewers Bowl is a street festival focused around the vibrant craft beer culture. 45 tons of real snow will descend onto Glendale at Westgate Entertainment District. EAA’s B-17 bomber Aluminum Overcast is an example of the American heavy bomber that helped turn the tide of the battle in World War II. You can see and tour this historic airplane – and actually fly a mission. The Aluminum Overcast will be flying missions at a tour stop hosted by EAA Warbirds Squadron 20. The Aluminum Overcast will be making its sixth tour stop at Deer Valley airport in over 12 years.
